Christmas Food

I am a big foodie. I love all kinds of interesting and new things. But no matter how many ducks or quails or bowls of ice cream I eat, I can't help but think, as I sit here eating my pecan pie cake (a recent addition to our Christmas food family), that Christmas food is the best of all. It is all comfort food. Most of my favorite things all stem from Christmas food.

Chai Tea tastes like Christmas...with the chimmon and the nutmeg, and cloves...it is Christmas.

And I love anything having to do with pumpkin or sweet potatos. Sweet potato or pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin lattes, scones, cheesecakes, anything that says it has sweet potato or pumpkin in it I am all over. You can pretty much count on it.

Cranberry is another great flavor. I love Monte Christos because of the cranberrys and dried cranberries always make salads better. I even got cranberry lotion from bath and body works! Christmas is not Christmas without the cranberry sauce. And the kind my grandmother makes or gets out of the can is the best. It is the only thing that isn't homemade. But I wouldn't have it any other way. And she always puts it into the same dish...ever since I was little!
