Thoughts of a Princess

I am not really a princess...I only like to think I am. I am just a regular working girl who constantly lives in a fantasy world!

Location: Chattanooga, Southeast, United States

Ok, instead of telling you about me I am going to tell you my favorite tv shows because they didn't give me a place! Buffy, Angel, Roswell, Veronica Mars, the OC, Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, Lost, American Idol, Everwood, ok well basically the WB's whole network!

Ok, ok...let me catch my breath. I should really start walking up the stairs more often. Not just when I want to waste time at work. I am so lazy I swear.

But the reason I walked up the stairs (and down before) was a very good reason. I finally donated some money to the red cross for the hurricane relief effort. I had been thinking about it for a couple of days now. I have never been one to give (don't say anything, I just don't) but the way this has affected me I felt that I might need to give. It might make me feel better to know that I am helping out somehow. It might make this awful feeling in my stomach that I get whenever I watch the coverage go away. I wasn't just sitting there feeling sorry for myself. I was being unselfish!

And gosh darn it, they make it so easy to be unselfish around here! They sent out an email this morning saying they would be taking up a donation for the red cross. I thought about and thought about it...but kept putting it off. Another email was sent. This one I actually kept in my inbox. I was going to do it.

Then another email was sent saying that if we donated money then we could wear jeans tomorrow. In some ways I feel that is like bribry, but then again...any way you can get the money...So that was the extra incentive I needed (I don't know why, it is too hot right now to wear jeans). So I did it. I gave 30 dollars. I would have gave more but I forgot how to spell 40. That is so sad.

So that made me feel better. That and the Meg Cabot Blog I read. She was talking about the hurricane in her very funny, superficial Meg Cabot-y way. Very much much like the way I talk! She was talking about the Superdome and hoped that the seats were padded. She said some people were in the sky boxes. Because sky boxes are the way to go. That is so funny.
